Gitman Vintage

Gitman Vintage is a collection of American-made shirts that celebrates the brand’s deep heritage with a fresh perspective. Its roots trace back to 1932, when Max Gitman founded the Ashland Shirt & Pajama Company in Pennsylvania. Run by Max and his sons, the factory evolved into Gitman Bros. in 1978 and remains one of the few shirtmakers still producing entirely in the USA.

Launched in 2008, Gitman Vintage draws from decades of archival fabrics and designs, reworking them with updated dyes, patterns and construction. The result is a collection that balances tradition with innovation — from classic Oxfords and chambrays to bold prints and technical fabrics.

Leading this evolution is Chris Olberding, President of Gitman Brothers and the creative force behind Gitman Vintage. Under his direction, the brand has stayed true to its roots while pushing the boundaries of American shirting.
