We continue our build-up to Zurich Art Weekend, which begins this Friday, 13 June — this time talking to our friend and neighbour Andreas Ritter, founder and partner at the law firm Ritter & Partner Attorneys.
Passionate about art, Andreas advises private and corporate art collections, family offices, art funds, and estates. He also supports cultural institutions, primary and secondary market dealers, auctioneers, and antique dealers, and acts as counsel to artists and artist estates.
We stopped by his office, where he shared a few tips on what to do in Zurich during Art Weekend — beyond just visiting galleries and museums.
Zurich Art Weekend with Andreas Ritter

01.
Gallery House Zürich
A new, independent, and intimate art fair, is opening its doors in a former industrial building in Kreis 5 during Zurich Art Weekend. Expect an eclectic mix of emerging and established art — high quality, without VIP lounges, merchandising, or corporate events. Just art! It’s the place to be.

Here, Andreas is photographed wearing the Barena Visal Arela cotton shirt jacket, paired with the Bativoga Vion cotton easy trousers, also from Barena.

02.
Capri
The brand-new restaurant in the Seefeld quarter, just around the corner from the Monocle Café, offers a vibrant and youthful atmosphere, serving contemporary Mediterranean-Italian cuisine.

03.
Boats, Cocktails & the Best View in Zurich
Get access to a private boat club next to the Utoquai bathing area and enjoy a cocktail there — simply rent a small boat or pedalo, and the club is yours. There's no better view in Zurich — promise!

04.
Museum Haus Konstruktiv
The Museum Haus Konstruktiv, known for bridging concrete, constructive, and contemporary art, has moved. Now located in newly restored premises, the museum brings fresh energy to the Löwenbräu art complex in the industrial district.

Andreas is a long-time fan of Barena, drawn to the brand’s relaxed tailoring and refined simplicity. From all the labels we carry at Trunk, Barena is the one you’ll most often find him wearing. Whether it’s a lightweight jacket or a pair of easy trousers, his wardrobe reflects the brand’s effortless blend of comfort and style.
