Alden Cordovan Penny Loafer: Dark Burgundy£725.00
The Alden Cordovan Penny Loafer is made from shell cordovan leather sourced from the Horween Leather Co. tannery in Chicago. Cordovan is a rare vegetable-tanned horse hide leather prized for its exceptional durability, shine and comfort. This leather is handworked by skilled craftsmen at Horween in a process lasting up to six months.
Alden's classic loafer can be worn formally with a suit or wool flannel trousers, but will also work equally well with your favourite pair of jeans.
Featuring a fully replaceable Goodyear welted leather sole. This is a pair of shoes that will likely last a lifetime if not generations, and only improve with age.
The Alden Penny Loafers are made on the Alden Van last, with a regular D width fitting. The Van last fits large, so we would advise taking a half or full size down from your usual.
