TRUNK'S WORLD: ZURICH

In today’s fast-paced world, we put our clothes through more challenges than ever before. Hopping on and off trains, boats and planes is an inescapable part of life for many stylish men today, and Trunk has always sought to be as international in its outlook as possible.

The opening of our second store in Zurich was an important step on that journey. Like our London shops, the Zurich store is meant to make the lives of our customers easier, and to bring the Trunk experience to them. Our founder Mats explains: "Zurich is a connected city at the centre of Europe, and home to many valued Trunk customers. With so many well-travelled clients in senior corporate positions, running their own businesses or leading the way in creative industries in Zurich, we felt that it was a natural place to hang our hats". The location of Trunk Zurich adds to its convenience. "The airport’s only 15 minutes from downtown, so it’s easy to fly in and out – and it’s a very open city as a result". For those wishing to visit, there are a plethora of reasons to fly in for the weekend. "In summer you’ve got the rivers and the lake at your fingertips, and there are lots of chic restaurants and culture hubs to explore. And in the winter you can swap swimming for skiing".

If you’ve yet to visit us in Zurich, expect an extension of our London stores with a new, sleek design. "We wanted the space to be modern, but still warm and welcoming, with similar brands on show, as well as some in-store exclusives that we aren't stocking in London or online".
Boglioli, Lardini, Alden, CQP, Incotex and Gitman Vintage all have a place, as does our own label, but the collection is also tweaked to suit the demands of our Zurich customers. Paraboot is exclusive to the store, for example, and its history in creating smart Alpine footwear makes it a natural fit.

Here are five pieces we’re stocking this season that suit Zurich’s laid-back yet luxurious European style.
