3 Ways To Wear The New Trunk Ebury Jacket

19 August 2021

When it comes to outerwear if there is one thing we have learned, it is the more versatile the better. At Trunk, we find the jackets in our wardrobe which see the most wear are the ones that bridge the gap between seasons with ease. The jackets that can be thrown over a t-shirt when it is not quite summer, or layered over a chunky knit when it is not yet cold enough for a heavy winter coat.

Enter the Ebury jacket, a new addition from our Trunk AW21 collection which has been created to be worn comfortably in those not quite there moments. Designed with effortlessness at its core, the jacket is crafted from a compactly woven cotton Ventile® fabric which, whilst being lightweight and comfortable, is also wind and water-resistant. Where style is concerned, the Ebury has an understated elegance which is owed to its sleek design and flattering cut. However, do not just take our word for it, we asked members of our team to try out the Ebury jacket and let us know how they will be wearing it this season.

"As it is cut in the style of a blazer the Ebury is easily worn in place of a tailored jacket to create a more smart casual feel, which is only emphasised by the practical nature of the cotton Ventile® cloth. For that reason, I've paired it with our Trunk Seymour shirt, our in-house Oxford shirt that also sits comfortably between smart and casual, and our Welbeck one pleat trousers - your reliable, day-to-day cotton trouser." – Aidan

"The first thing that caught my eye about the new Ebury jacket is the light tone of the olive version I am wearing; in a softer hue than most pieces of olive outerwear, it is a nice contrast to the darker pieces that I already own. I've paired it with a classic grey York t-shirt and Resolute jeans in their 710 model, which with their flattering slim cut work perfectly with the Ebury for a late summer/early autumn outfit." – Luke

"The Ebury jacket is a lovely example of a Trunk staple - the smart casual jacket - which we always do in one form or another. This one is special because of the historic yet thoroughly modern Ventile® fabric. It's light, super comfortable and great for travelling with. I mostly wear off white trousers and the Duke corduroys are a really nice relaxed option. To compliment those I love the mossy green of the Enford polo, and this merino range is a great weight for wearing under a lightweight layer like the Ebury."  – Tim
