For SS24, our in-house label introduces the Trunk Culcross jacket and coordinating Hallam trousers as a continuation of our quest for the perfect cotton blazer. We spoke with Julia, our knowledgeable in-house product developer and own-label manager, to uncover why these new pieces are indispensable additions to your spring/summer wardrobe.

"At Trunk, our perpetual quest for the perfect cotton blazer led us to create the Culcross – a jacket that embodies sophistication while offering the comfort of everyday wear," Julia begins. "The Culcross ticks all the boxes with its cool, lightweight Italian cotton that instantly delights the wearer."
Julia's attention to detail shines through in her choice of garment dyeing the fabric. "I opted to garment dye the fabric to enrich its hue and impart a lovely patina to the cloth," she explains. "This process not only adds richness to the colour but also enhances the fabric's comfort, making it a joy to wear from the get-go."
Practicality is paramount in our in-house designs, and the Culcross is no exception. "The Culcross features two internal button-up patch pockets, providing ample storage for essentials," Julia notes. "Its convertible collar offers versatility – wear it buttoned up for a chilly day or explore new styling options."
A nod to functionality, the Culcross boasts zig-zag stitching on the undercollar. "This detail adds robustness to the jacket and nods to its outerwear functionality," Julia remarks, highlighting the brand's dedication to both style and substance.
Versatility was a key consideration in the Culcross's design. "The jacket can be worn in many ways to suit the occasion," Julia observes. "Pair it with our Hallam trousers for a relaxed suit ensemble or mix and match with other pieces from our collection for a personalised look."
Julia introduces Trunk's Hallam trousers, crafted in Italy to complement the Culcross impeccably. "I wanted to add a straighter leg trouser to the collection, which works in this smooth cotton," she explains. "Worn together, the Culcross and Hallam make a great, relaxed suit."
